Abstract
A refrigerator includes an ice-making body having a circumferential portion configured to receive water and to generate ice, a cold air duct configured to supply cold air toward the circumferential portion of the ice-making body, and a reservoir configured to store water. The ice-making body is configured to rotate relative to the reservoir such that the water in the reservoir is received in circumferential portion. The ice is separated from the circumferential portion of the ice-making body and compressed into an ice piece.
Claims21
A refrigerator comprising:
- a cabinet that defines a storage space;
- a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the storage space;
- an ice-making body rotatably provided at the door, the ice-making body having a circumferential portion configured to receive water and to generate ice;
- a reservoir disposed at a first side of the ice-making body and configured to supply the water to the circumferential portion of the ice-making body;
- an ice-making bracket that receives the ice-making body and defines a cold air flow path configured to provide cooled air to the ice-making body;
- and
- a cold air duct connected to the ice-making bracket and configured to supply the cooled air to the cold air flow path.
A refrigerator comprising:
- a cabinet that defines a storage space;
- a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the storage space;
- an ice-making body provided at the cabinet or the door, the ice-making body having a circumferential portion configured to receive water and to generate first state ice having a first state;
- an ice-making bracket that receives the ice-making body and defines a cold air flow path configured to provide cooled air for cooling at least one of the ice-making body or the water received in the circumferential portion;
- an ice-compressing assembly configured to move relative to the ice-making bracket, the ice-compressing assembly being configured to generate second state ice having a second state by combining the first state of ice separated from the ice-making body;
- and
- a cold air duct connected to the ice-making bracket and configured to supply the cooled air toward the circumferential portion of the ice-making body.
A refrigerator comprising:
- a cabinet that defines a storage space;
- a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the storage space;
- an ice-making body provided at the cabinet or the door, the ice-making body having a circumferential portion configured to receive water and to generate first state ice having a first state;
- an ice-making bracket that receives the ice-making body and defines (i) a first opening configured to receive cooled air and (ii) a second opening for discharging the cooled air;
- and
- a cold air duct connected to the first opening of the ice-making bracket and configured to supply the cooled air toward the circumferential portion of the ice-making body.
