A refrigerant distribution device comprising:

• an inflow pipe into which refrigerant flows;
• a branching portion provided at a position facing the inflow pipe and at which the refrigerant flowing in from the inflow pipe is branched;
• a plurality of outflow pipes from which the refrigerant branched at the branching portion flows out;
• and
• a projection projecting from the branching portion in a refrigerant inflow direction,
• the projection having a projection space inside,
• in a case where a flow-passage cross-sectional area of the inflow pipe is defined as Ai, a sum total of flow-passage cross-sectional areas of the plurality of outflow pipes is defined as Ao, a maximum inside diameter of the plurality of outflow pipes is defined as Do, a flow-passage cross-sectional area of the projection space in the projection is defined as At, and a width of the projection space in the projection in a projecting direction is defined as Lt,
• 0.05<(Ai/Ao)≤0.5, At>Ai, and Lt>Do being satisfied.
