Lightbars with emission collecting optical modules

An optical assembly, comprising:

• two or more optical systems, each optical system comprising:
• one or more light sources configured to produce emitted light;
• a lens;
• and
• a wide-angle emission collecting optic positioned within the optical system;
• wherein a first portion of the emitted light is reflected off of the wide-angle emission collecting optic to produce reflected light, and wherein the reflected light passes through the lens;
• and
• a plate or printed circuit board;
• one or more snapping arms, wherein the one or more snapping arms secure the plate to the two or more optical systems;
• wherein the two or more optical systems are arranged in one or more columns and one or more rows on the plate.

An optical lens, comprising:

• a center line;
• a focal point;
• and
• a refracting lens section about the center line, comprising:
• a refracting entrance surface;
• and
• a refracting exit surface.
