Abstract

Generation of a reduced order model (ROM)-based digital twin and use of the digital twin during real time operation at an edge device to provide monitoring and coaching of operation of a work machine. Leveraging digital twin generation, artificial intelligence and machine learning analytics to provide real time coaching to prevent or encourage operators to avoid operations that may cause undue stress or wear on the work machine. A reduced order model (ROM) may be generated for each component of a work machine and/or the work machine as a whole. After generation of an initial ROM model and/or after enhancement or tuning of the initial ROM model with real-time information, a digital twin of the work machine and its components may be generated and used for monitoring machine health and coaching operators during use.

Dependent claims

A method, comprising:

receiving system data from a work machine, the system data associated with one or more components of the work machine;
providing the system data to a reduced order model system;
at the reduced order model system, generating a reduced order model for the one or more components of the work machine;
providing the reduced order model for the work machine to a digital twin model system;
at the digital twin model system, generating a digital twin for the one or more components of the work machine;
and
generating an alert at a human machine interface of the work machine in response to the digital twin model system, the alert related to a potential future event associated with wear on the work machine.
