Abstract
The present invention includes compositions and methods useful for the treatment of chronic vascular inflammation through the inhibition of ACSS2. In various embodiments, the EndMT occurs as a result of chronic vascular inflammation. In various embodiments, the inhibition of ACSS2 opposes pathogenic Transforming Growth Factor-Beta (TGFβ) in the cell.
Claims21
A method of inhibiting endothelial-mesenchymal transition (EndMT) in a cell comprising contacting the cell with an effective amount of an inhibitor of Acetyl CoA Synthetase Short chain family member 2 (ACSS2).
A pharmaceutical composition comprising
- a. an inhibitor of ACSS2,
- b. a lipid nanoparticle, and
- c. a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
A method of treating a vascular inflammatory disease in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering an effective amount of an inhibitor of Acetyl COA Synthetase Short chain family member 2 (ACSS2).
The method of 13, wherein the vascular inflammatory disease is a chronic vascular inflammation disease
