Abstract

The present invention provides: a Bax protein variant in which lysine at position 128, lysine at position 190, or lysines at positions 128 and 190 in the Bax protein is (are) substituted with arginine; a method for increasing the half-life of a Bax protein, the method comprising substituting lysine at position 128, lysine at position 190, or lysines at positions 128 and 190 in the Bax protein with arginine; a pharmaceutical composition comprising the Bax protein variant; and a method for screening for an anticancer substance. The Bax protein variant according to the present invention can inhibit a protein degradation mechanism through ubiquitination and exhibits a longer half-life than the wild-type Bax protein.
