Dielectric composition with high-temperature stability

A method for manufacturing a dielectric composition, the method comprising:

• preparing a barium titanate-based base material major component;
• preparing at least one minor component of:
• a first minor component including at least one selected from the group consisting of oxides and carbonates of Yb element, a second minor component including at least one selected from the group consisting of oxides containing Ba and Zr, a third minor component including at least one selected from the group consisting of oxides and carbonates of Y element, a fourth minor component including at least one selected from the group consisting of oxides and carbonates of a fixed-valence acceptor element including Mg, a fifth minor component including at least one selected from the group consisting of oxides and carbonates of a variable-valence acceptor element including at least one of V, Mn, Cr, Fe, Ni, Co, Cu, and Zn, and a sixth minor component including at least one selected from the group consisting of oxides, carbonates, and glasses of Si element, wherein the at least one minor component comprises the first minor component;
• preparing a mixture including the base material major component and the at least one minor component;
• and
• firing the mixture,
• wherein the content of the Yb element contained in the first minor component is 0.2 to 6 parts by mole per 100 parts by mole of the base material major component.
