A system and method are disclosed for removal of unwanted powder material from additively manufactured objects. The system and method include a transfer channel located in a housing of the system. The transfer channel includes at least a loading or receiving area and a processing area. An exchangeable printer frame used in an additive manufacturing printer contains additively manufactured objects and unwanted powder material. The exchangeable printer frame is received in the loading area. The additively manufactured objects and unwanted powder material are removed from the exchangeable printer frame and conveyed along the transfer channel onto a platform in the processing area. The unwanted powder material is removed by vibratory action and falls through openings in the platform. The now depowdered additively manufactured objects are then removed from the processing area.
