Abstract
A cryogenic rack system can contain a vacuum chamber that includes cryogenic cabinets and a distribution section. The cabinets can include cryogenic-temperature blades supporting electronic and photonic chips that operate at cryogenic temperatures, and room temperature blades supporting electronic and photonic chips that operate at a non-cryogenic temperature.
Claims22
A cryogenic cabinet system, comprising:
- a cabinet;
- a cryogenic chip carrier insertable into the cabinet, the cryogenic chip carrier supporting a plurality of photonic chips and thermally coupled to a cryogenic conduit operable to circulate a cryogenic fluid to cool the plurality of photonic chips to a cryogenic temperature;
- and
- a plurality of room temperature chip carriers insertable into the cabinet, each room temperature chip carrier supporting control chips configured to operate at a room temperature that is higher than the cryogenic temperature.
