Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a cross radio access technology (cross-RAT) indication for joint or separate downlink assignment index (DAI) fields via downlink control information (DCI) for a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook. The UE may monitor a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) across multiple component carriers in accordance with the cross-RAT indication for the joint or separate DAI fields. Dependent claims

An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

one or more memories;
and
one or more processors, the one or more processors, individually or collectively and based at least in part on information stored in the one or more memories, being configured to:
receive a cross radio access technology (cross-RAT) indication for joint or separate downlink assignment index (DAI) fields via downlink control information (DCI) for a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook;
and
monitor a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) across multiple component carriers in accordance with the cross-RAT indication for the joint or separate DAI fields.
