Abstract
Provided herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for providing an interactive visual representation of loudspeaker sound coverage in a venue. An embodiment enables temporal, spectral, and spatial audio metering from digital audio to venue acoustics. This technology can visualize audio capabilities of one or more loudspeaker arrays using light to provide visualization grouping of large audio channel outputs. This can allow spatial information to be visually represented by mapping directional sound to light beams.
Claims20
A method for collaborative interaction in a virtual event, the method comprising:
- generating, by a first user device, a first view of the virtual event, the virtual event comprising a volumetric light beam representing audio content projected to a location in a venue;
- receiving, at the first user device, an input comprising a modification of one or more parameters, characteristics, or attributes of the volumetric light beam;
- updating, by the first user device, the first view based on the modification;
- establishing, by the first user device, one or more communication sessions with a second user device;
- transmitting, from the first user device, the modification to the second user device via the one or more communication sessions;
- and
- causing, by the first user device, the second user device to update a second view of the virtual event based on the modification.
A user device, comprising:
- a memory configured to store instructions;
- and
- a processor configured to execute the instructions, wherein the instructions, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to:
- generate a first view of the virtual event, the virtual event comprising a volumetric light beam representing audio content projected to a location in a venue;
- receive an input comprising a modification of one or more parameters, characteristics, or attributes of the volumetric light beam;
- update the first view based on the modification;
- establish one or more communication sessions with a second user device;
- transmit the modification to the second user device via the one or more communication sessions;
- and
- cause the second user device to update a second view of the virtual event based on the modification.
A non-transitory computer-readable device having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a first computing device, cause the first computing device to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- generating a first view of the virtual event, the virtual event comprising a volumetric light beam representing audio content projected to a location in a venue;
- receiving an input comprising a modification of one or more parameters, characteristics, or attributes of the volumetric light beam;
- updating the first view based on the modification;
- establishing one or more communication sessions with a second computing device;
- transmitting the modification to the second computing device via the one or more communication sessions;
- and
- causing the second computing device to update a second view of the virtual event based on the modification.
