A system performs clock synchronization in a server having multiple bonded network interface cards (NICs), each equipped with an independent hardware clock. The system determines timestamps for packet transmission and reception by the server and designates one clock of a first NIC as a primary clock, with clocks of the remaining NICs acting as follower clocks. For each follower clock, the system performs offset measurements relative to the primary clock, determines the corresponding time offset and frequency drift, and generates corrective adjustments. Correction signals are applied to each follower NIC to align its hardware clock with the primary reference, thereby ensuring tight synchronization across all NIC clocks. The system produces timestamps for packet transmission and reception using the synchronized clocks of the plurality of NICs. This enables the server with multiple NICs c to operate as if driven by a single time source and provide accurate timing for network communication and offset estimation across servers.
