Abstract
A solar module for installation on a structure includes a laminate for converting solar energy into electricity. The solar module also includes a mount connected to the laminate for mounting the solar module on a surface of the structure. The mount includes features to facilitate mounting the solar module on a surface or positioning the solar module in a solar array with other solar modules.

A solar module mounting system comprising:
- a laminate;
- and
- a mount configured to mount the laminate to a surface, the mount comprising:
- a base;
- an elongate fastening device extending from the base;
- a support bracket coupled to the laminate;
- and
- a locking assembly configured to releasably secure the support bracket to the fastening device, the locking assembly comprising:
- a first slider;
- a second slider;
- and
- a rotating lever engaged with the first slider and the second slider;
- wherein the locking assembly is movable between a locked position and a released position, and
- wherein, in the locked position, the locking assembly engages the fastening device and the locking assembly is retained inside a locking assembly capture area of the support bracket.

A solar module replacement system comprising:
- a structure having a mounting surface;
- an installed mount secured to the mounting surface, the installed mount comprising a base secured to the mounting surface and a fastening device extending from the base;
- a solar module comprising a laminate and a support bracket coupled to the laminate;
- and
- a locking assembly carried by the support bracket and configured to releasably couple the support bracket to the fastening device, the locking assembly comprising:
- a first slider;
- a second slider;
- and
- a rotating lever engaged with the first slider and the second slider;
- wherein the locking assembly is configured to move between a locked position in which the support bracket is secured to the fastening device and a released position in which the support bracket is releasable from the fastening device, and
- wherein the locking assembly is configured to release the support bracket from the fastening device while the base remains secured to the mounting surface.

- a support bracket configured to be coupled to a laminate of a solar module, the support bracket defining a locking assembly capture area;
- a fastening device configured to support the support bracket, the fastening device comprising a lock groove;
- and
- a locking assembly positioned at least partly within the locking assembly capture area, the locking assembly comprising:
- a first slider ;
- a second slider;
- and
- a rotating lever engaged with the first slider and the second slider;
- wherein the locking assembly is movable between a locked position and a released position,
- wherein, in the locked position, the locking assembly secures the support bracket to the fastening device, and
- wherein the rotating lever comprises an interference feature configured to resist movement of the locking assembly from the locked position toward the released position.
