First connector and connector pair

A first connector comprising:

• a first mating housing that mates with a connection target;
• and
• a first terminal,
• wherein
• the first terminal includes
• a first held portion that is held in the first mating housing,
• a first contact portion that electrically contacts the connection target, and
• a first coupling portion that couples the first held portion and the first contact portion to each other,
• the first held portion is held in the first mating housing as a result of being press-fitted in a predetermined press-fitting direction into the first mating housing, and
• the first held portion is positioned in a different position from the first contact portion in a first perpendicular direction of the first held portion, which is a specific direction out of directions perpendicular to the press-fitting direction of the first held portion, and has a range overlapping the first contact portion in the press-fitting direction of the first held portion.
