Integration system for providing interoperability of loyalty programs of an issuing retailer and a fuel retailer, a method of providing interoperability of loyalty programs of an issuing retailer and a fuel retailer

A computer-implemented method of providing interoperability of loyalty programs of an issuing retailer and a fuel retailer, the method comprising:

• operably connecting an integration system server to an integration system database;
• operably connecting an issuing retailer loyalty program server to an issuing retailer loyalty program database;
• facilitating communication between the issuing retailer loyalty program server and the integration system server using commercially available unmodified point-of-sale hardware and software systems;
• operably connecting a fuel retailer loyalty program server to a fuel retailer loyalty program database;
• and
• facilitating communication between the fuel retailer loyalty program server and the integration system server using commercially available unmodified point-of-sale hardware and software systems for providing interoperability of the loyalty programs of the issuing retailer and the fuel retailer.

A non-transient computer readable medium containing program instructions for causing a computer to perform the method of:

• operably connecting an integration system server to an integration system database;
• operably connecting an issuing retailer loyalty program server to an issuing retailer loyalty program database;
• facilitating communication between the issuing retailer loyalty program server and the integration system server using commercially available unmodified point-of-sale hardware and software systems;
• operably connecting a fuel retailer loyalty program server to a fuel retailer loyalty program database;
• and
• facilitating communication between the fuel retailer loyalty program server and the integration system server using commercially available unmodified point-of-sale hardware and software systems for providing interoperability of loyalty programs of an issuing retailer and a fuel retailer.
