Abstract
Systems and methods are described for moderating content consumption. Content items are generated for sequential display, A moderation score is determined for each content item in a set of sequentially displayed content items. The moderation score for each content item in the set is based on a signification of the content item. A cumulative moderation score for the set of sequentially displayed content items is determined to be greater than a threshold moderation score. An action affecting the continued consumption of the sequentially displayed content items is caused.
Claims21
A method for moderating content consumption, the method comprising:
- receiving, at a user device, content items for sequential display, wherein the content items are distributed from one or more content providers;
- determining, using control circuitry associated with the user device, a moderation score for
- each content item in a set of sequentially displayed content items, wherein the moderation score for each content item in the set is based on a signification of the content item;
- determining, using control circuitry associated with the user device, that a cumulative moderation score for the set of sequentially displayed content items is greater than a threshold moderation score;
- and
- causing, using control circuitry associated with the user device, an action affecting the continued consumption of the sequentially displayed content items.
A system for moderating content consumption, the system comprising:
- control circuitry configured to:
- receive, at a user device, content items for sequential display, wherein the content items are distributed from one or more content providers;
- determine a moderation score for each content item in a set of sequentially displayed content items, wherein the moderation score for each content item in the set is based on a signification of the content item;
- determine that a cumulative moderation score for the set of sequentially displayed content items is greater than a threshold moderation score;
- and
- cause an action affecting the continued consumption of the sequentially displayed content items.
