Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to a network-based real-time enterprise travel management system that can facilitate planning, booking, scheduling, and managing travel, while also facilitating expense budgeting and reporting. Embodiments of the present disclosure can provide systems and methods for generating and managing a predictive itinerary associated with travel and/or an event, as well as a centralized marketplace for accessing various services and events.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method for providing a predictive itinerary for a user, comprising:
- obtaining, by one or more processors, a plurality of parameters associated with a trip of the user, the plurality of parameters including flight information for a flight, the flight information including a departure time and a departure airport;
- generating, by the one or more processors, an itinerary including a flight itinerary element corresponding to the flight;
- receiving, by the one or more processors, location information identifying a current location of a client device associated with the user;
- identifying, by the one or more processors, a transportation service associated with the flight itinerary element, the transportation service including transportation from the current location to the departure airport;
- determining, by the one or more processors, a time before the departure time at which to automatically request the transportation service, based at least in part on the departure time, the current location, and a trip duration estimate for travel from the current location to the departure airport;
- at the determined time, and before receiving, from the client device, an affirmative response to request the transportation service, automatically causing, by the one or more processors, a request to reserve transportation to be transmitted via an application associated with the transportation service;
- after the request to reserve transportation is transmitted, causing, by the one or more processors, the client device to present a notification indicating that the transportation service has been requested, wherein the notification includes a prompt configured to receive input indicating whether the request to reserve transportation should be cancelled or whether any modifications to a reservation associated with the request to reserve transportation should be made;
- and
- causing, by the one or more processors, the itinerary to be presented by the client device with transportation-service information for the transportation service adjacent to the flight itinerary element;
- wherein the application associated with the transportation service comprises at least one of a ride-sharing application, a mass-transit application, a car or limousine service application, or a taxi service application.

A computing system for providing a predictive itinerary for a user, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more memory devices storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to:
- obtain a plurality of parameters associated with a trip of the user, the plurality of parameters including flight information for a flight, the flight information including a departure time and a departure airport;
- generate an itinerary including a flight itinerary element corresponding to the flight;
- receive location information identifying a current location of a client device associated with the user;
- identify a transportation service associated with the flight itinerary element, the transportation service including transportation from the current location to the departure airport;
- determine a time before the departure time at which to automatically request the transportation service, based at least in part on the departure time, the current location, and a trip duration estimate for travel from the current location to the departure airport;
- at the determined time, and before receiving, from the client device, an affirmative response to request the transportation service, automatically cause a request to reserve transportation to be transmitted via an application associated with the transportation service;
- after the request to reserve transportation is transmitted, cause the client device to present a notification indicating that the transportation service has been requested, wherein the notification includes a prompt configured to receive input indicating whether the request to reserve transportation should be cancelled or whether any modifications to a reservation associated with the request to reserve transportation should be made;
- and
- cause the itinerary to be presented by the client device with transportation-service information for the transportation service adjacent to the flight itinerary element;
- wherein the application associated with the transportation service comprises at least one of a ride-sharing application, a mass-transit application, a car or limousine service application, or a taxi service application.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- obtaining a plurality of parameters associated with a trip of a user, the plurality of parameters including flight information for a flight, the flight information including a departure time and a departure airport;
- generating an itinerary including a flight itinerary element corresponding to the flight;
- receiving location information identifying a current location of a client device associated with the user;
- identifying a transportation service associated with the flight itinerary element, the transportation service including transportation from the current location to the departure airport;
- determining a time before the departure time at which to automatically request the transportation service, based at least in part on the departure time, the current location, and a trip duration estimate for travel from the current location to the departure airport;
- at the determined time, and before receiving, from the client device, an affirmative response to request the transportation service, automatically causing a request to reserve transportation to be transmitted via an application associated with the transportation service;
- after the request to reserve transportation is transmitted, causing the client device to present a notification indicating that the transportation service has been requested, wherein the notification includes a prompt configured to receive input indicating whether the request to reserve transportation should be cancelled or whether any modifications to a reservation associated with the request to reserve transportation should be made;
- and
- causing the itinerary to be presented by the client device with transportation-service information for the transportation service adjacent to the flight itinerary element;
- wherein the application associated with the transportation service comprises at least one of a ride-sharing application, a mass-transit application, a car or limousine service application, or a taxi service application.
