Firearm accessory mounts

A firearm, comprising:

• a stock configured to be held by a user of the firearm;
• an action configured to load and discharge the firearm;
• a barrel configured to pressurize and eject a projectile;
• a muzzle device coupled to an end of the barrel;
• and
• a firearm accessory mounting device coupled to the muzzle device, comprising:
• a collar extending along an axis and defining an exit side opposite a barrel side, the collar defining a first end at the barrel side thereof, an insert formed at the first end of the collar, a radial recess extending about an exterior of collar;
• a nut coupled to the collar at the barrel side of the collar, wherein an inner surface of the nut defining a nut bore, and the first end of the collar is arranged within the nut bore;
• a follower at least partially received within the insert of the collar and engaging a cam track of the nut;
• and
• a fastener engaging each of the nut and the radial recess of the collar to couple the nut to the collar;
• and
• a can coupled to the firearm accessory mounting device.

A method, comprising:

• attaching a muzzle device to a barrel of a firearm;
• assembling a firearm accessory device;
• attaching the firearm accessory device to the muzzle device, the firearm accessory device comprising:
• a collar extending along an axis and defining an exit side opposite a barrel side, the collar defining a first end at the barrel side thereof, an insert formed at the first end of the collar, a radial recess extending about an exterior of collar;
• a nut coupled to the collar at the barrel side of the collar, wherein an inner surface of the nut defining a nut bore, and the first end of the collar is arranged within the nut bore;
• a follower at least partially received within the insert of the collar and engaging a cam track of the nut;
• and
• wherein assembling the firearm accessory device comprises engaging a fastener with each of the nut and the radial recess of the collar to couple the nut to the collar;
• and
• attaching a can to the firearm accessory device.
