Abstract

Provided is an antimicrobial cleaning composition that includes an anionic surfactant, which optionally comprises a sulfate-based surfactant, sulfonate-based surfactant, or combination thereof. The composition further comprises sodium benzoate, optionally at least one of caprylyl glycol and ethylhexylglycerin, an acrylic-based copolymer, an organic acid, optionally comprising citric acid, and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. The provided compositions can provide antimicrobial activity and anti-fouling properties over an extended period of time in toilet bowl applications.
