Abstract
A mast navigation light includes a base assembly affixable to a surface, a pivot mechanism secured to the base assembly, a mast coupled at a proximal end with the pivot mechanism, and a light secured to a distal end of the mast. The pivot mechanism is configured to effect pivoting of the mast about at least two axes.
Claims19
A mast navigation light comprising:
- a base assembly affixable to a surface;
- a pivot mechanism secured to the base assembly;
- a mast coupled at a proximal end with the pivot mechanism;
- and
- a light secured to a distal end of the mast,
- wherein the pivot mechanism is configured to effect pivoting of the mast about at least two axes,
- wherein the pivot mechanism comprises:
- a cap coupled with the base assembly and rotatable relative to the base assembly about a first axis, and
- a T-post coupled with the cap and pivotable relative to the cap about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis,
- wherein the mast is connected to the T-post,
- wherein the base assembly comprises a first rim of detents, and wherein the cap comprises a second rim of detents selectively engageable with the first rim of detents.

A mast navigation light comprising:
- a base assembly affixable to a surface;
- a cap coupled with the base assembly;
- and
- a T-post coupled with the cap and configured to support a mast navigation light mast,
- wherein the cap is rotatable relative to the base assembly to define a first axis of adjustment,
- wherein the T-post is pivotable relative to the cap to define a second axis of adjustment transverse to the first axis,
- wherein the base assembly includes a first plurality of detents and the cap includes a second plurality of detents selectively engageable with the first plurality of detents to provide incremental rotational positioning of the cap relative to the base assembly, and
- wherein the T-post includes a plurality of protrusions selectively engageable with corresponding detents of the cap to provide incremental angular positioning of the T-post relative to the cap.
5 more elements
A mast navigation light comprising:
- a base assembly;
- a cap rotatable relative to the base assembly;
- a T-post pivotably coupled with the cap;
- and
- a mast supported by the T-post,
- wherein the base assembly includes a first annular detent structure and the cap includes a second annular detent structure selectively engageable with the first annular detent structure to incrementally lock rotational positions of the cap relative to the base assembly, and
- wherein the T-post includes movable protrusions selectively engageable with corresponding detents in the cap to incrementally lock angular positions of the T-post relative to the cap.
