The techniques described herein relate to a method for patterning including: depositing an aqueous printing liquid droplet from a source onto a top surface of a liquid crystal substrate, wherein a first printing material is disposed into the liquid crystal substrate, and wherein an impact of the aqueous printing liquid droplet causes the first printing material to be released onto the top surface of the liquid crystal substrate within a proximal area of the impacted aqueous printing liquid droplet; and curing the first printing material on the top surface of the liquid crystal substrate. A system for printing is additionally disclosed. A hydrogel produced using the disclosed system and method is also disclosed.
A method for printing comprising:
A system for printing comprising:
A hydrogel product comprising one or more bioactive and/or bioinert compounds, the hydrogel product having a discrete size and shape, wherein the hydrogel material is formed by droplet-induced printing, wherein a receiving substrate comprises one or more hydrogel precursors, and wherein a printing liquid comprises an aqueous printing liquid dispensed from a source.
