Information processing system, storage media, and computer-implemented method

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media having stored therein instructions that cause a host device of an information processing system, in which the host device and a guest device are capable of communicating with each other, to perform processing comprising:

• acquiring first operation data indicating an operation performed on the host device;
• acquiring, from the guest device, second operation data indicating an operation performed on the guest device;
• executing a game process based on the first operation data and the second operation data;
• rendering a first game image, which indicates results of the game process and which is to be displayed on the host device, and a second game image, which indicates results of the game process and which is to be transmitted to the guest device, so that the second game image is rendered before the first game image is rendered.

A computer-implemented method, comprising:

• on a host device, acquiring first operation data indicating an operation performed on the host device;
• on the host device, receiving, from a guest device, second operation data indicating an operation performed on the guest device;
• on the host device, executing a game process based on the first operation data and the second operation data;
• on the host device, rendering a first game image, which indicates results of the game process and which is to be displayed on the host device, and a second game image, which indicates results of the game process and which is to be transmitted to the guest device, so that the second game image is rendered before the first game image is rendered;
• displaying the first game image on a display device of the host device;
• transmitting the second game image from the host device to the guest device on the guest device, receiving the second game image transmitted from the host device;
• displaying the received second game image on a display device of the guest device;
• and
• acquiring the second operation data;
• and
• transmitting the second operation data from the guest device to the host device.
