Abstract
The present invention provides peptides that selectively target adipose tissue and adipose stromal stem cells (ASCs). Accordingly, in some embodiments, the invention provides compositions and methods for selective delivery of compounds to adipose tissue and ASCs and methods of treating diseases and disorders through targeted compound delivery.

A composition comprising at least one targeting peptide comprising an amino acid sequence least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:3, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:5, or SEQ ID NO:6.
