A system includes a light source device, and a processor, in which the processor is configured to perform control of supplying light having an amount of light based on a first target value, which is a target value of brightness of a first image signal acquired from a first endoscope that includes a light guide and a first insertion part inserted into a subject, from the light source device to the first endoscope in a case where the first endoscope is connected, and perform control of transmitting target value information related to a second target value, which is a target value of brightness of a second image signal acquired from a second endoscope that includes a light-emitting element and a second insertion part inserted into the subject, to an adapter that relays a connection with the second endoscope in a case where the adapter is connected.
