A networked system for blind tasting includes a plurality of physical sample randomizer stations, each having a physical device layer, a local SQLite transactional store, and a cloud data layer. The local data layer captures a complete hierarchical session record—including run headers, per-sample load and randomized presentation positions, identification method, tasting notes, and evaluation results—while the station operates offline. Records are pushed to the cloud in dependency order upon reconnection, maintaining referential integrity. Scoring methodologies and tasting-note fields are stored as database records, enabling new evaluation methods and descriptors to be added to already-deployed stations without firmware or application code updates. The system supports organizer-defined custom challenge rooms in which multiple stations independently randomize samples yet link evaluations to common libation identities for shared cloud results. Gamification derives objective accuracy points, tier status, and achievement badges directly from device-generated performance data. A tiered data portal provides personal, organizational, and enterprise access to structured tasting records and aggregate analytics.
