Belt loop cover

Abstract

A belt loop cover is provided for removable attachment to an existing belt loop of a garment to conceal the belt loop and/or provide a decorative or functional attachment point. The cover includes a flexible body having a central region configured to overlie the belt loop and first and second end portions that wrap around the belt loop. A securing system retains the end portions in a closed condition and may include mating magnetic elements, a magnet and a ferromagnetic element, snaps, buttons, hook-and-loop fasteners, ties, wires, clasps, or combinations thereof. The body can be formed from fabric, leather, polymeric sheet, or other materials and may include layers, reinforcement, pockets, or channels that position or enclose the securing system. In some embodiments, an accessory coupling element on an outer face releasably retains an ornament or accessory. Kits may include multiple covers and interchangeable accessories.
