Abstract
A method of enhancing the sweetness of sweetener in a beverage or food product comprising adding Hesperetin Dihydrochalcone to the product in an amount of 2 ppm to 50 ppm by weight of the total weight of the product. Also provided here is a beverage or food product comprising Hesperetin Dihydrochalcone in an amount of from 2 to 50 ppm, by weight, of the total weight of the product.

A method of enhancing sweetness of a beverage product, the method comprising:
- providing a beverage product comprising a steviol glycoside and no sucrose;
- and
- adding hesperetin dihydrochalcone to the beverage product,
- wherein the hesperetin dihydrochalcone is added in an amount that enhances sweetness of the beverage product by an amount ranging from 1° Bx to 2° Bx relative to a corresponding beverage product having the same composition as the beverage product, except lacking the hesperetin dihydrochalcone.

A beverage product comprising:
- a steviol glycoside;
- and
- hesperetin dihydrochalcone,
- wherein the hesperetin dihydrochalcone is present in an amount that enhances sweetness of the beverage product by an amount ranging from 1° Bx to 2° Bx relative to a corresponding beverage product having the same composition as the beverage product, except lacking the hesperetin dihydrochalcone, and wherein the beverage product does not comprise sucrose.
