Abstract

Method for controlling a watering plant for laboratory animals by means of a system comprising a control unit and a first flow sensor connected to an inlet duct of the watering plant to transmit to the control unit signals corresponding to inflow values relating to the flow of liquid flowing in the inlet duct, which method comprises: acquiring said inflow values; sampling a series of consumption values which are indicative of the consumption of liquids in the watering plant and are obtained by processing the acquired inflow values; calculating a mean value of the series of consumption values; performing a statistical test to verify whether the mean value differs substantially from a reference mean value, in order to obtain a control statistical value; detecting a possible anomaly in the watering plant based on the statistical control value.
