Abstract
A tape feeder includes a tape guide to guide a carrier including a base tape and a cover tape bonded to the base tape with adhesive sections extending in a tape length direction and covers a cavity; a tape feeding mechanism to feed the carrier tape; a tape peeling mechanism to peel a first side edge of the cover tape from the base tape together with one of the adhesive sections to open the cavity; and a first passage that is provided in the tape guide and through which the peeled first side edge of the cover tape is fed, and a second passage below the first passage and has a passage width dimension equal to or larger than a passage width dimension of the first passage and through which the peeled first side edge of the cover tape is returned in the reverse direction.
Claims11
A tape feeder comprising:
- a tape guide configured to guide a carrier tape in a predetermined feeding direction, the carrier tape including a base tape provided with a cavity configured to accommodate a component and a cover tape that is bonded to the base tape with two adhesive sections extending in a tape length direction and covers the cavity;
- a tape feeding mechanism configured to feed the carrier tape in the feeding direction along the tape guide and return the carrier tape in a reverse direction;
- a tape peeling mechanism configured to peel a first side edge of the cover tape from the base tape together with one of the adhesive sections to open the cavity when the carrier tape is fed in the feeding direction;
- and
- a first passage that is provided in the tape guide and through which the peeled first side edge of the cover tape is fed in the feeding direction, and a second passage that is located below the first passage and has a passage width dimension equal to or larger than a passage width dimension of the first passage and through which the peeled first side edge of the cover tape is returned in the reverse direction.
A tape feeder comprising:
- a tape guide configured to guide a carrier tape in a predetermined feeding direction, the carrier tape including a base tape provided with a cavity configured to accommodate a component and a cover tape that is bonded to the base tape with two adhesive sections extending in a tape length direction and covers the cavity;
- a tape feeding mechanism configured to feed the carrier tape in the feeding direction along the tape guide and return the carrier tape in a reverse direction;
- a tape peeling mechanism configured to peel a first side edge of the cover tape from the base tape together with one of the adhesive sections to open the cavity when the carrier tape is fed in the feeding direction;
- and
- a chamfered portion that is provided at an end portion on a downstream side of a lower surface of a ceiling plate located on an upstream side of the tape peeling mechanism in the feeding direction and constituting the tape guide, and extends in a width direction intersecting the feeding direction.
