A system for reducing EMF emissions in radiant heating devices comprises paired heating elements, such as halogen infrared tubes or carbon strips, configured to operate with reversed current directions to substantially cancel magnetic field emissions. A conductive shield, fabricated from a metallic material such as aluminum, copper, or stainless steel, is positioned between the heating elements and the user-occupied space and is electrically connected to earth ground to suppress electric field emissions. The combination of magnetic field cancellation through phase-inverted current flow and electric field attenuation via grounded shielding enables the simultaneous reduction of both electric and magnetic field components during normal operation. The system is suitable for use in infrared saunas, space heaters, and other AC- or DC-powered radiant heating applications, and may include control circuitry to manage current phasing, real-time EMF monitoring, and user-selectable EMF mitigation modes.
