Abstract
A power control device determines a first offered power to be used for transmission of a first carrier of a plurality of carriers used by the multi-band transmitter based on a plurality of requested powers that are each associated with a carrier of the plurality of carriers. The power control device further transmits an indication of the offered power to a power allocator.
Claims21
A method of operating a power control device, the method comprising:
- determining a first offered power to be used for transmission of a first carrier of a plurality of carriers used by the multi-band transmitter based on a plurality of requested powers that are each associated with a carrier of the plurality of carriers;
- and
- transmitting an indication of the offered power to a power allocator.
A method of operating a network node configured to provide processing for a first carrier of a plurality of carriers used by a multi-band transmitter, the method comprising:
- transmitting an indication of a requested power associated with the first carrier to a power control device;
- receiving an indication of an offered power to be used for transmission of the first carrier from the power control device;
- and
- configuring transmissions associated with the first carrier based on the offered power.

- processing circuitry;
- and
- memory coupled to the processing circuitry and having instructions stored therein that are executable by the processing circuitry to cause the power control device to perform operations comprising to:
- determine a first offered power to be used for transmission of a first carrier of a plurality of carriers used by the multi-band transmitter based on a plurality of requested powers that are each associated with a carrier of the plurality of carriers;
- and
- transmit an indication of the offered power to a power allocator.

- processing circuitry;
- and
- memory coupled to the processing circuitry and having instructions stored therein that are executable by the processing circuitry to cause the network node to perform operations comprising to:
- transmit an indication of a requested power associated with the first carrier to a power control device;
- receive an indication of an offered power to be used for transmission of the first carrier from the power control device;
- and
- configure transmissions associated with the first carrier based on the offered power.
