System and method for a multi-channel notification service

A system for a communication platform, the system comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• one or more computer processors, coupled to the memory, to perform operations comprising:
• receiving a notification request associated with an account of an entity to transmit one or more messages of the entity to a set of communication endpoints of the plurality of communication endpoints of a plurality of users, wherein the plurality of communication endpoints are associated with a plurality of communication channels;
• transmitting the one or more messages of the entity to one or more communication endpoints;
• tracking metered cost of the transmitted one or more messages associated with the account of the entity;
• and
• in response to the metered cost satisfying a maximum delivery cost property, altering message transmissions for remaining communication endpoints of the plurality of communication endpoints based on the plurality of communication channels.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a communication platform, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• receiving a notification request associated with an account of an entity to transmit one or more messages of the entity to a set of communication endpoints of the plurality of communication endpoints of a plurality of users, wherein the plurality of communication endpoints are associated with a plurality of communication channels;
• transmitting the one or more messages of the entity to one or more communication endpoints;
• tracking metered cost of the transmitted one or more messages associated with the account of the entity;
• and
• in response to the metered cost satisfying a maximum delivery cost property, altering message transmissions for remaining communication endpoints of the plurality of communication endpoints based on the plurality of communication channels.
