Abstract
Systems and methods are described for weighted routing in a network communication. Systems include circuits to select one or more subgroups of ports for forwarding a packet, where each subgroup is associated with a group of ports, and where the group of ports is associated with a destination node; select a port from among the one or more subgroups for forwarding the packet; and forward the packet via the selected port.

A computing device, comprising one or more circuits to:
- select one or more subgroups of ports for forwarding a packet, wherein each subgroup is associated with a group of ports, and wherein the group of ports is associated with a destination node;
- select a port from among the one or more subgroups for forwarding the packet;
- and
- forward the packet via the selected port.
