Abstract

A method of manufacturing a secondary battery includes sinking a partial region of a pouch to form an accommodation portion in which an electrode assembly is received; positioning the electrode assembly within the accommodation portion; and pressurizing a sealing region spaced from an edge of the accommodation portion by a distance at an outer side of the accommodation portion to form a sealing portion between a first pouch portion and a second pouch portion, and at least some of the pressurizing step is performed in a state where a gap is maintained between the first and second pouch portions in a temporary attachment region located between the edge of the accommodation portion and the sealing region.
