System, information processing apparatus, and method

An information processing apparatus comprising circuitry configured to:

• compress a file to create a compressed file that includes validity period information and a script;
• and
• transmit the compressed file to a terminal apparatus connected to the information processing apparatus via a network, wherein:
• the script is executed on the terminal apparatus after a decompression process is started on the compressed file at the terminal apparatus to obtain a decompressed file;
• and
• the script controls permission to use the decompressed file at the terminal apparatus based on a comparison between a system time of the terminal apparatus for the decompression process being performed and the validity period information.

A method performed by a system including an information processing apparatus and a terminal apparatus, the method comprising:

• compressing, with the information processing apparatus, a file to create a compressed file that includes validity period information and a script;
• transmitting, with the information processing apparatus, the compressed file to the terminal apparatus via a network;
• executing, with the terminal apparatus, a decompression tool;
• starting, with the terminal apparatus, a decompression process on the compressed file received from the information processing apparatus;
• executing, with the terminal apparatus, the script during the decompression process to acquire a system time of the terminal apparatus;
• and
• comparing, with the terminal apparatus, between the system time and the validity period information, wherein:
• in a case that the system time does not satisfy the validity period information, the method further comprising terminating, with the terminal apparatus, the decompression process;
• and
• in a case that the system time satisfies the validity period information, the method further comprising decompressing, with the terminal apparatus, the compressed file to obtain a decompressed file.
