Abstract
An electric field enhancement element includes: a substrate; a plurality of microstructures provided at the substrate and having conductivity; a cover layer covering the plurality of microstructures and the substrate; and a transparent layer covering the cover layer. A thickness of the cover layer is smaller than a thickness of the transparent layer. 0 < Δn ≤ 1.000, wherein Δn is a refractive index difference between a refractive index of the cover layer and a refractive index of the transparent layer.

An electric field enhancement element comprising:
- a substrate;
- a plurality of microstructures provided at the substrate and having conductivity;
- a cover layer covering the plurality of microstructures and the substrate;
- and
- a transparent layer covering the cover layer, wherein
- a thickness of the cover layer is smaller than a thickness of the transparent layer, and
- 00 < Δn ≤ 1.000, wherein Δn is a refractive index difference between a refractive index of the cover layer and a refractive index of the transparent layer.
