Slide rack retrofit kit for cooler

A slide support for mounting a wire shelf in a support structure, the slide support including:

• a fixed bracket;
• a sliding bracket;
• and
• a slide mechanism connecting the fixed bracket and the sliding bracket;
• wherein the fixed bracket includes at least one offset tab configured to hook into a support slot of the support structure to at least partially support the fixed bracket from the support structure;
• and
• wherein the sliding bracket has a first end and a second end and includes a first recess configured to receive a first wire portion of the wire shelf nearer to the first end than to the second end of the sliding bracket and a second recess configured to receive a second wire portion of the wire shelf nearer to the second end than to the first end of the sliding bracket.

A method of retrofitting an existing wire shelf of a cooler from a fixed mounting to a sliding mounting, the cooler including a plurality of support structures, each support structure including a plurality of vertically spaced support openings, the method comprising:

• removing the existing wire shelf from the cooler:
• mounting a left slide support in the cooler, the left slide support including a left fixed bracket, a left sliding bracket, and a left slide mechanism connecting the left fixed bracket and the left sliding bracket, the mounting including hooking at least one offset tab of the left fixed bracket into one of the support openings of a first support structure of the cooler to at least partially support the left fixed bracket from the first support structure;
• mounting a right slide support in the cooler, the right slide support including a right fixed bracket, a right sliding bracket, and a right slide mechanism connecting the right fixed bracket and the right sliding bracket, the mounting including hooking at least one offset tab of the right fixed bracket into one of the support openings of a second support structure of the cooler to at least partially support the right fixed bracket from the second support structure;
• connecting forward portions of the left and right sliding brackets with a cross-bar;
• and
• mounting the existing wire shelf on the left and right sliding brackets such that the existing wire shelf slides with the sliding brackets relative to the fixed brackets.
