Abstract
A Heat Extraction with Water (HEW) cooling system for cooling room air of a building that maximizes the amount of heat that transfers out of a hot refrigerant to outside air. The system includes a plurality of square condensers housed together in an array that divides the hot refrigerant into multiple, equal parts, that travel through each square condenser to remove additional heat from the refrigerant. The cooling system has a first configuration that includes a series of two fans that move air across a plurality of arrays of condenser tubes for transferring up heat from the hot refrigerant through exhaust stacks.

A Heat Extraction with Water (HEW) cooling system for cooling room air of a building that maximizes the amount of heat that transfers out of a hot refrigerant to outside air, comprising:
- a plurality of square condensers housed together in an array that divides the hot refrigerant into multiple, equal parts, that travel through each square condenser to remove additional heat from the refrigerant;
- the cooling system having a first configuration that includes a series of two fans that move air across a plurality of arrays of condenser tubes for transferring up heat from the hot refrigerant through exhaust stacks.
A Heat Extraction with Water (HEW) cooling system for cooling room air of a building that maximizes the amount of heat that transfers out of a hot refrigerant to outside air, comprising:
- a plurality of square condensers housed together in an array that divides the hot refrigerant into multiple, equal parts, that travel through each square condenser to remove additional heat from the refrigerant;
- a second configuration uses a first dry array, along with a second wet array that is cooled by water;
- a cold refrigerant is directed into an expander and then into an evaporator;
- the refrigerant from the expander flows into a compressor and then through the condenser tubes in the first dry array;
- the refrigerant from the first dry array flows through the condenser tubes in a second dry array where it is cooled;
- the refrigerant exiting the second dry array after being cooled flows back into the expander to begin the cycle again.
A Heat Extraction with Water (HEW) cooling system for cooling room air of a building that maximizes the amount of heat that transfers out of a hot refrigerant to outside air, comprising:
- a plurality of square condensers housed together in an array that divides the hot refrigerant into multiple, equal parts, that travel through each square condenser to remove additional heat from the refrigerant;
- a third configuration including first and second wet arrays that are cooled by water;
- a cold refrigerant is directed into an expander and then out into an evaporator;
- the refrigerant then flows from the evaporator into a compressor;
- next, the refrigerant flows into condenser tubes in a first wet array;
- next, the refrigerant flows from the first wet array into the condenser tubes in the second wet array;
- the cooled refrigerant exits the second wet array and flows back into the the expander to begin the cycle again.
