Abstract
A fastener includes a base, a cover, and a clip. The base defines a slot, and the cover is fixed with the base, where the base and the cover define a hole configured for receiving a cable in a longitudinal direction of the fastener. The clip includes a first clip end disposed in the slot, and includes a second clip end extended from the first clip end, toward the cover, and into the opening in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The clip pivots between a locked position and an unlocked position with respect to the cover when the cable is pulled through the hole.
Claims20
A fastener system, comprising
- a support structure;
- a retention clip comprising a support portion configured to be disposed in a slot of the support structure;
- and
- a linear drive mechanism configured to convert an input motion into linear displacement of the retention clip toward or away from the support structure to clamp or release a cable or duct between the retention clip and the support structure.
A fastener, comprising:
- a base that defines a plurality of slots arranged at different positions;
- a cover fixed with the base, wherein the base and the cover define a hole configured for receiving a cable in a longitudinal direction of the fastener;
- and
- a clip that includes a first clip end disposed in one of the plurality of slots, and includes a second clip end extended from the first clip end, toward the cover, and into the hole in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction,
- wherein the clip pivots between a locked position and an unlocked position with respect to the cover when the cable is pushed or pulled through the hole.
A fastener, comprising:
- a base including base inner walls that define an interior, the base inner walls including a pair of base side walls extended in a front-back direction, and a base back wall extended between the base side walls in a left-right direction;
- and
- a wedge having a first flange and a second flange extended oppositely from each other in the left-right direction,
- wherein the base side walls define channels that extend at an angle offset from vertical in the front-back direction, and the channels are configured to receive the flanges in a sliding relationship that drives the wedge toward the base back wall in the front-back direction.
