A slave cylinder for actuating a coupling device, comprising:

• an annular housing and an annular piston, wherein the annular piston is received movably in the axial direction with respect to a main axis between an engaged end position and a disengaged end position, in an annular space of the annular housing, said annular space surrounding the main axis, and axially delimits the annular space with respect to the main axis, so that a pressure space which can be filled with an operating medium is formed between the annular piston and the annular housing;
• and
• a stop ring for forming an axial end stop for the annular piston in the disengaged end position, wherein the stop ring is arranged on an axial end face of the annular housing, wherein:
• characterized in that the stop ring is connected to the annular housing via a pressure-welded connection.
