Abstract
A pump includes a housing, a shroud, and an impeller body. The shroud is rotatably disposed within the housing. The shroud has a flared inner surface. The impeller body has a helical ridge fixedly connected to the flared inner surface. The impeller body is obliquely conical.

A pump, comprising:
- a housing;
- a shroud rotatably disposed within the housing, the shroud having a flared inner surface;
- and
- an impeller body rotatably disposed within the housing and having a helical ridge fixedly connected to the flared inner surface, the impeller body being obliquely conical.

- an impeller body disposed within the housing and rotatable relative to the housing and the shroud, the impeller body extending into the shroud and having a helical ridge extending from an obliquely conical surface toward the flared inner surface.
