Systems and methods for providing wall assemblies configured for improved utility installation

A wall assembly comprising:

• an insulating wall body comprising:
• an insulating material;
• a first face;
• a second face disposed substantially opposite the first face;
• and
• a receptacle formed within the insulating wall body such that the receptacle has a depth that is less than a thickness of the insulating wall body and such that the receptacle opens from the first face of the insulating wall body;
• and
• a support member configured to be inserted into the receptacle to couple with the insulating wall body such that a layer of the insulating material is disposed between the support member and the second face of the insulating wall body that is disposed opposite to the first face.

A wall assembly comprising:

• an insulating wall body comprising:
• an insulating material;
• a first face;
• a second face that is disposed substantially opposite to the first face;
• and
• a receptacle formed within the insulating wall body such that the receptacle has a depth that is less than a thickness of the insulating wall body, wherein the receptacle opens along at least a portion of its length from the first face;
• and
• a passage that is configured to receive a utility;
• and
• a support member that defines an aperture and that is configured to be inserted into the receptacle to couple with the insulating wall body such that (a) a layer of the insulating material is disposed between the support member and the second face of the insulating wall body and (b) the aperture aligns with the passage.
