Road paver and method for operating a road paver

A road paver, comprising

• travel units;
• a machine frame supported by said travel units;
• a paving material hopper with a storage space for paving material;
• a longitudinal conveyor configured to convey paving material located in the paving material hopper in longitudinal direction out of the hopper rearward against a forward direction of the road paver for depositing the paving material on an underlying ground, a longitudinal conveyor drive device being provided for driving a longitudinal conveying operation of the longitudinal conveyor;
• a transverse conveyor configured to convey the paving material laid on the underlying ground transversely to the forward direction on the underlying ground, the transverse conveyor comprising a right cross conveyor and a left cross conveyor as seen in the forward direction of the road paver, and a transverse conveyor drive device being provided for driving a transverse conveying operation of the transverse conveyor;
• a paving screed configured to smooth and compact the paving material distributed on the underlying ground by the transverse conveyor, wherein:
• an adjusting device is provided, which is configured such that at least one of the two cross conveyors can be adjusted with regard to its inclination, in particular transverse inclination.
