A process for treating lignocellulosic biomass comprises: b) acidic or neutral pretreatment of the biomass to produce an acidic or neutral pretreated biomass, alternating with b′) basic pretreatment of the biomass previously placed under acidic, neutral or basic conditions to produce a basic pretreated biomass, followed by c) enzymatic hydrolysis of the acidic pretreated biomass and/or of the basic pretreated biomass, to obtain a hydrolyzed biomass, d) solid/liquid separation of the hydrolyzed biomass obtained at the end of step c) in the form of sugar(s) or a step of solid/liquid separation of the hydrolyzed biomass in the form of sugar(s) obtained at the end of step c) then treated in steps subsequent to the enzymatic hydrolysis step c), in order to obtain a separated juice and an unconverted solid residue, and e) recycling the solid residue to basic pretreatment step b′).
A process for treating lignocellulosic biomass, comprising:
The process as claimed in claim 11, characterized in that the enzymatic hydrolysis step c) and fermentation step f) are carried out simultaneously on the pretreated biomass.
