Photochromic compound, propargyl alcohol compound, curable composition, optical article, lens, and spectacles

A photochromic compound having a skeleton represented by formula (1) below:

• wherein, in formula (1) above,
• M is C, Si, or Ge,
• R3 is an aryl group or a heteroaryl group substituted with a group represented by formula (1a) below,
• in formula (1a) above,
• R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted fused polycylic ring in which an aromatic ring or an aromatic heterocyclic ring is fused with these substituents,
• R2 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted haloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylthio group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, or a group represented by formula (2a) below,
• in formula (2a) above,
• Q1 is an alkylene group or a haloalkylene group,
• Q2 is an alkylene group or a haloalkylene group,
• Q3 is an alkyl group or a haloalkyl group,
• X1 and X2 are each independently O, S, NR700, PR701, or P(═O),
• R700 and R701 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group,
• a is an integer of 0, or 1 or more and 3 or less,
• R4 is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group, and
• ring A and ring B are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic heterocyclic ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted fused polycylic ring in which an aromatic ring or an aromatic heterocyclic ring is fused with these rings.
