Composition and method for producing same, urethane resin, aqueous urethane resin dispersion, and coating agent

A composition comprising:

• a compound (A-1) comprising a repeating unit (A) represented by the following Formula (A), a structural unit (I) derived from a polyhydric alcohol represented by the following Formula (I), a structure (C) derived from an oxetane compound represented by the following Formula (C), and a terminal hydroxy group,
• wherein the content of the structure (C) derived from the oxetane compound represented by the following Formula (C) in the composition is 0.90 to 9.5 mol % relative to the total amount of the structure (C) derived from the oxetane compound, a structure (D) derived from a diol represented by the following Formula (D), and a structure (E) derived from a polyhydric alcohol represented by the following Formula (E) in the composition,
• wherein in Formula (A), R1 represents an alkanediyl group, *1-O—Ra—*2, or *1-Rb—C(═O)—O—Rc—*2, where Ra, Rb, and Rc each independently represent an alkanediyl group, *1 represents a bonding site with a carbonyl group, and *2 represents a bonding site with an oxygen atom,
• wherein in Formula (I), R2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or a hydroxyalkyl group, and * represents a bonding site,
• wherein in Formula (C), R2 has the same meaning as above, and * represents a bonding site,
• wherein in Formula (D), R3 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, and * represents a bonding site, and R3's may be the same or different from each other, and
• wherein in Formula (E), R2 has the same meaning as above, and * represents a bonding site.
