Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of a marl comprising: more than 45% (w/w) of calcite; and at least 1% (w/w) of kaolinite; for the preparation of a pozzolanic material by the calcination of said marl at a temperature ranging from 400° C. to 950° C.

A marl for preparation of a pozzolanic material by calcination of the marl at a temperature ranging from 400° C. to 950° C., the marl comprising:
- more than 45% (w/w) of calcite;
- and
- at least 1% (w/w) of kaolinite.
