Abstract

A method of forming a structural component is provided. The method includes forming, by arranging at least one composite material to a first determined configuration, a first uncured composite laminate beam structure. The method also includes forming, by arranging at least one composite material to a second determined configuration, a second uncured composite laminate beam structure. The method further includes co-curing a first surface of the first uncured composite laminate beam structure to a first surface of the second uncured composite laminate beam structure to form a composite laminate beam structure, where the composite laminate beam structure is a single continuous structure. The method additionally includes coupling a surface of the composite laminate beam structure to an internal surface of a skin.
