Abstract
A layout tool is provided for use in marking a workpiece. The layout tool has a generally flat body with a face and a linear edge. The face is arranged to rest on a surface of the workpiece. A base is coupled to the flat body. A stabilizer is supported by the base. The stabilizer is moveable relative to the base between a first position where the stabilizer is arranged to engage the surface of the workpiece when the face of the flat body rests on the surface of the workpiece and a second position.

A layout tool for use in marking a workpiece, the layout tool comprising:
- a generally flat body having a face and a linear edge, the face arranged to rest on a surface of the workpiece;
- a base coupled to the flat body;
- and
- a stabilizer supported by the base, the stabilizer being moveable relative to the base between a first position where the stabilizer is arranged to engage the surface of the workpiece when the face of the flat body rests on the surface of the workpiece and a second position.
