Abstract
A stretchable film includes: an elastomer layer; and a surface layer stacked on the surface of the elastomer layer. The elastomer layer contains a styrene-based elastomer. The surface layer is made of an olefin-based resin composition containing an olefin-based resin and an inorganic filler. The stretchable film has a hysteresis loss of less than 36%.
Claims6
A stretchable film comprising:
- an elastomer layer;
- and
- a surface layer stacked on at least one surface of the elastomer layer,
- the elastomer layer containing a styrene-based elastomer,
- the surface layer being made of an olefin-based resin composition containing an olefin-based resin and an inorganic filler,
- the stretchable film having a hysteresis loss of less than 36%, determined as follows:
- (Hysteresis Loss)
- a strip-shaped test piece is cut from the stretchable film, the test piece having 100 mm in one direction of the film and 25 mm in a direction orthogonal to the one direction, the test piece is then fixed to grippers of a tester so that a distance between the grippers is 25 mm, and the test piece is then elongated in its longitudinal direction at a speed 254 mm/min so that a strain (elongation) calculated by the following equation (1) is 100%, an integral area in a stress-strain curve (S-S curve) during the elongation is defined as S1, an integral area in a stress-strain curve (S-S curve) during contraction of the test piece at the same speed as for the elongation, immediately after the elongation so that s load (N/25 mm) of the test piece reaches 0 is defined as S2, and the hysteresis loss [%] is calculated from the following equation (2),
- Strain [%]=(L1−L0)/L0×100 (1)
- Hysteresis loss [%]=S/S1×100 (2)
- where L0 is a distance (mm) between the grippers before the elongation;
- L1 is a distance (mm) between the grippers after the elongation;
- S1 is an integral area in a stress-strain curve during elongation from 0% to 100% strain;
- S2 is an integral area in a stress-strain curve during contraction from 100% strain to 0 stress;
- and S is an integral area (S1−S2) in a stress-strain curve obtained by subtracting the integral area S2 from the integral area S1.
